It’s picnic time! We’d be honored if you’d join us for a Picnic at Westport Prairie with this year’s Prairie Partners crew.
The five students that make up the Prairie Partners intern crew this year are excited to share with you their experiences and show off their hard work. We will also recognize the sponsors that made this year’s crew possible.
As part of the Prairie Partners program, Groundswell has this group of interns every Monday at either Patrick Marsh or Westport Prairie. The crew’s efforts are transforming these two special places while giving them incredible hands-on field experience.
Thanks to this year’s picnic sponsors, Mary and Doug Marshall, we’ll provide a brown bag lunch from Marigold Kitchen. You just need to bring a blanket or chair to sit on. (There is a porta potty on site.)
The walk from the farmstead to the picnic site on the drumlin is ~1/2 mile. After lunch, we’ll take a walk with the interns to see the results of their restoration efforts at this natural gem.
