“Those who build deep connections to nature are more likely to help protect it. So, it’s important for us to help everyone find cherished memories and experiences outside.”

As Groundswell’s Conservation Director, Tony oversees our conservation programs. He also leads our land protection work with a thoughtful, strategic approach.

Over the past seven years at Groundswell, Tony has established strong working relationships with private landowners and Groundswell’s agency and community partners. He’s also led our Stewardship Committee, developed and implemented our green schoolyard initiatives, and built community conservation projects at Patrick Marsh and Westport Prairie.

Tony believes the outdoors should be accessible and inclusive to everyone. Whether you make connections to nature, or build connections with friends and family in nature, it’s important to build memories in your favorite outdoor places. That’s how we create conservation allies. The more people we help find cherished memories in nature, the louder our voice for conservation can be.
