As our Outreach & Technical Assistance Manager, Baritan (Bari) plays an important role in supporting HMoob farmers across Wisconsin. She works closely with Groundswell’s Community Director and grant partners to provide technical assistance and outreach to HMoob farmers.
Bari has worked for four years as a contract worker supervising the HMoob elders for the Lifting Hearts Therapy Garden at Westport Farm. She enjoys connecting with the elders and listening to their life stories about farming and words of wisdom on life. Bari also helps at her family’s garden and assists them at the Westside Community Market.
In her free time, she likes reading, cooking, and hanging out with friends outdoors.
