We have lots to celebrate at Westport Prairie this spring – new hiking trails, a bigger parking lot, more signs, and a renovated historic tobacco barn!
Join us for a brief program starting shortly after 4 p.m. inside the newly updated tobacco barn (thanks to Operation Fresh Start). You’ll hear stories from Groundswell staff and board, neighbors, and community partners who helped make all these improvements at Westport Prairie happen.
After the program, we’ll enjoy cake, snacks, and refreshments. Then at 5 p.m., Conservation Director Tony Abate will lead a half-mile hike on the new Prairie Loop trail.
This is also a great chance to meet our new Executive Director Angela West Blank! She’d love to connect with you out on the land and learn why local conservation matters to you.
This event will take place rain or shine, except for extreme weather.
