You’re Invited: Trail Stakeholder Meeting at Westport Prairie
Groundswell Conservancy is taking the next step toward creating a public trail system at Westport Prairie! Because of your connection to Westport Prairie, we’d love for you to be part of this process. Your input and perspective are incredibly valuable as we work to design trails that are welcoming, educational, and respectful of the land and wildlife.
We’ve hired Tim Malzahn with Trail Eyes (former Director of Trail Operations with the Ice Age Trail Alliance) to develop a comprehensive trail and signage plan for the property.
This plan will help us thoughtfully design trails through the 227-acre wildlife area, taking into account accessibility, scenic views, sensitive habitats, and the ongoing restoration work that’s transforming former agricultural fields into thriving native prairie. It will also include recommendations for directional and interpretive signage to enhance the visitor experience.
You are invited to join us for a small gathering with Tim and Groundswell staff to share ideas and provide feedback on the preliminary concepts.
