The tradition is back! Join your friends and neighbors for an easy 1.5-mile candlelit hike at Patrick Marsh Wildlife Area. Enjoy songs sung by Patrick Marsh Middle School choral students along the trail. When you’re done, warm up with a bonfire and good company.
NOTE: Our adventure will start in the back parking lot of Patrick Marsh Middle School (not the entrance off Stone Quarry Road). From there, we’ll hike into Patrick Marsh Wildlife Area and explore the trails together. Middle school teacher Vince Brandl will lead the way and share stories about teaching at Patrick Marsh as we trek through the snow.
Due to Covid, Groundswell will not be providing warm drinks or snacks around the bonfire, but you are welcome to bring your own. We will provide roasting sticks for marshmallows.
See a map of where we’ll hike and the bonfire location.
