——————————————————————————————————————————————————-

Explore Hauge Historic District Park in the Town of Perry with Groundswell. Last year, Groundswell helped protect this scenic park with a conservation easement.

The park is the second highest public park observation point in Dane County, with several miles of mowed hiking trails and a spectacular view of the Blue Mounds.

Mick Klein Kennedy (Town Supervisor) and Doug King (CEO of The Madison Group Consultants) will begin the field trip by sharing the story of how this special and unique piece of public land was protected forever. Then we’ll take an easy one-mile hike on groomed trails. We’ll check out Hauge Log Church, a national historical site, and take in the scenic views together.

This is a Wisconsin Land Trust Days Event.
