Electrofishing at Black Earth Creek

Loading Events
  • This event has passed.

You may know rod & reel fishing, fly fishing, or ice fishing, but do you know electrofishing? Electrofishing is a scientific survey method used to monitor fish populations using electricity. Fish get briefly stunned, collected, measured, and returned safely back to the water.

Join Wisconsin DNR for an electrofishing demonstration. You will learn about electrofishing as a conservation tool and about the fish that inhabit Black Earth Creek.

You’ll be “shocked” at what we find!

The walk will be approximately a half mile on paved path and grass.

Entry to this event is free. All are welcome to attend, but space is limited. Sign up below to reserve your spot today!
