Walk at Avon Bottoms

Join Mike Foy, a former wildlife biologist with the state Department of Natural Resources, for a springtime walk through one of the most diverse natural areas in southern Wisconsin! Avon Bottoms is a massive wildlife area along the Sugar River, featuring hundreds of acres Groundswell helped protect forever.

Avon Bottoms is striking in part because of its size. The thousands of acres serve as uninterrupted habitat. To properly experience this Wisconsin gem, we will caravan between several stops around the natural area. This trip will offer the most joy Avon Bottoms can give in two hours.
